MeBattery Innovations Featured on the EU Innovation Radar Platform
We are happy to announce that two of MeBattery’s promising innovations were added to the EU Innovation Radar Platform recently.
- New organic electroactive compound for Redox Flow Batteries developed by Universidad de Burgos.
This high-performance organic compound is available as anolyte for aqueous organic redox flow batteries with fast kinetics, high stability, adequate redox potential and suitable solubility. The compound is currently available at a few-hundreds-gram scale.
- Intercalation compound for aqueous systems based on Earth-abundant elements developed by Institute of Science and Technology Austria.
This novel stable inorganic intercalation compound shows high electrochemical reversibility and fast kinetics. In addition, it shows unique selectivity towards potassium cations, making it a promising candidate for low-cost aqueous batteries and electrochemical desalination systems. The compound is currently available at a hundred-gram scale.
The Innovation Radar is a European Commission initiative set out to identify high potential innovations and innovators in EU-funded research and innovation projects. The platform is intended to be easily accessible to stakeholders ranging from citizens to business persons who are interested in discovering the outputs of innovative research in Europe. You will easily find the MeBattery innovations by typing “MeBattery” in the search field on the Innovation Radar homepage.
