MeBattery joining the HIGREEW Workshop

On 16-17 May 2023 Edgar Ventosa (University of Burgos) and Rebeca Marcilla (IMDEA Energy) were invited to join the Final HIGREEW workshop on “Flow batteries, bringing the technology to the market”.

The event was one of the two workshop organised by the HIGREEW project in the course of their project’s duration to discuss the future of Redox Flow Batteries (RFB). The workshop concentrated on addressing all critical steps of the RFB value chain: materials and components, different solutions for possible applications and related challenges as well as market perspective and legislation-related aspects.

Edgar Ventosa contributed with a presentation on “Redox-mediated flow batteries: first steps from fundaments to application” while Rebeca Marcilla concentrated on “Recent Advances and Future Challenges of Membrane Free Redox Flow Batteries”. Overall, our two MeBattery representatives could share their views with 70 participants and gain valuable insights into the other participants’ experience.
